Early integration services

The clients of the City of Kotka’s initial integration services are persons with residence permits who are moving out of reception centres, asylum seekers in the process of integration and quota refugees.

The early integration services are staffed by an integration social counsellor and an integration counsellor.

In the early integration services, clients are provided with initial assessments and, if necessary, integration plans. The TE services draws up integration plans for unemployed jobseekers. Clients are assisted in housing and financial matters, and in applying for residence permits, travel documents, citizenship and family reunification. Home visits are also carried out in the initial phase of integration promotion services.

The Kymenlaakso Welfare Region is responsible for social and health services for refugees and quota refugees who have been granted residence permits.
